Job summary
A school district in Texas is looking for a Behavior Specialist to support staff with the implementation of positive behavior strategies and intervention plans for students with behavioral disorders. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree, a Texas teaching certificate, and preferably possess a Master's degree in Special Education. Qualifications

3 years of teaching experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Provide training and support to staff for positive behavior supports.
Consult with educators to design instructional and behavioral supports.
Conduct functional behavior assessments including data collection.
Collaborate to develop behavior intervention plans.
Skills
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Professionalism in dealing with students and staff
Understanding of behavior disorders
Experience with data collection systems
Experience with functional behavior assessments
Knowledge of applied behavior analysis
Self-starter
Education
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university
Masters Degree in Education/Special Education or Behavior Disorders
Valid Texas teaching certificate
