Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in educational settings. The role focuses on implementing IEP-driven supports and contributing to a positive learning environment.

You will work one-on-one with students, assist in developing and modifying behavior plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic guidance and support in a diverse setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience in educational settings implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support assigned student as determined by the IEP.
• Provide customized behavior support and teach life skills.
• Develop and modify behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support and intervention strategies, and track data on progress and incidents.
• Use de-escalation techniques and crisis management when necessary to ensure safety.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment to develop social and behavioral skills.
• Supervise students and ensure supervision during movements between locations.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent plan implementation.
• Provide personal care support as needed and communicate with parents.
