Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support K-12 students with intensive behavioral needs. You will work one-on-one per IEP, implement behavior plans, and record progress.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Experience working in an educational setting implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse students in varying developmental, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• One-on-one support to meet goals in the student9s IEP, providing accommodations and modifications as necessary.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans; record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and crisis management to maintain safety.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment that supports social and behavioral skill development.
• Supervise students and ensure safe movement between locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent plan implementation.
• Provide personal care support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
