Job summary

Think Together is seeking a Part-Time Program Leader to work in California school-site locations, providing in-person academic support and mentoring to a group of students. The role emphasizes safety, respectful conduct, and nurturing environment, with duties including homework help, enrichment, and behavior management.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, district-specific units or test, Live Scan clearance, and ability to communicate in Standard English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• District-specific units (48 sem/60 qtr) and/or pass a pre-employment test.
• Ability to express in Standard English in public-school settings.
• Must pass Live Scan background check.
• Provide TB test dated within 3 years.
• At least six months of group work experience with 10+ students.
• Strong math and English skills for K–8.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; bi-literate in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead an in-person group of students with high behavior and safety standards.
• Serve as a positive adult role model through dress, speech, and attitude.
• Create an engaging environment fostering belonging for kids.
• Support positive behavior choices and disciplinary measures when needed.
• Identify student needs and communicate with site leaders, teachers, admins and parents.
• Participate in staff development.
• Provide homework help, enrichment, and physical activity using provided curriculum.
• Work with 20–25 students in classroom settings and manage behavior.
• Assist daily with snacks, setup/breakdown, and site maintenance.
• Maintain student safety by taking roll and sign-in/out records.
