Job summary

AlphaBEST Education is hiring a Group Leader Assistant to support before- and after-school programs at Maya Angelou Elementary School in Hillcrest Heights, MD, and Andrew Jackson Elementary in District Heights, MD.

You will assist with daily curriculum activities, emphasize child safety, keep spaces tidy, and help build relationships with students, families, and staff. Requirements include a HS diploma, CPR/First Aid, and 3–6 months childcare experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).
• 3-6 months childcare experience in a licensed setting.

• Assist with daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts) while encouraging positive peer interactions
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Pay: $15.00

Hours: Monday through Friday AM Shift 7AM-9am PM Shift 3PM-6PM
