Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking a part-time Group Leader to run before and after school activities at TC Martin Elementary School in Bryantown, MD. You will guide groups through engaging daily curriculum activities and ensure child safety above all else.

You will collaborate with staff, keep spaces tidy, and help create an inclusive, supportive environment for children and families after the school day ends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is required (or ability to obtain).
• 90 HOUR CERTIFICATION NEEDED, 45 HOURS GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT, 45 HOURS SCHOOL AGE CURRICULUM.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, Arts).
• Prioritize child safety in all activities and settings.
• Maintain a clean and organized space and materials.
• Foster an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.

• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
