Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is hiring for its Before & After School Programs serving Hopatcong Schools. The Group Leader will guide students through daily curriculum activities in a high-energy, structured environment and prioritize child safety.

Ideal candidates are pursuing careers in education or youth development and will gain leadership experience while helping kids learn and grow, with hours mornings and afternoons as listed and the opportunity to contribute to a fun, safe program.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily activities.
• Prioritize child safety at all times.
• Keep space clean and organized.
• Build relationships with kids, families, and school staff.

Pay: $17.00/hour

Hours: 7:00-8:45am & 2:45-6:00pm

Looking to gain leadership experience while you’re in school?

AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs that are designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment.

As an AlphaBEST Group Leader, you’ll help shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive. You’ll gain valuable experience working with children and collaborating with a team.

We’re looking for an early learning professional who:

• Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment


• Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely


• Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed

In this role, you will:

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)


• Make child safety the top priority at all times


• Keep the space clean and organized


• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included


• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

This role is ideal for students studying:

• Education


• Child Development


• Psychology


• Social Work


• Recreation or Youth Development

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required


• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)


• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
