Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Lyndhurst, NJ, is seeking a Group Leader for our Before & After School Programs. The role supports daily curriculum activities, prioritizes child safety, keeps spaces organized, and fosters an inclusive environment for students, families, and school staff.

Ideal candidates are high school graduates with CPR/First Aid certification (or able to obtain) and the ability to work in a classroom setting with lifting up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Pay: $17.00/hour

Hours: 7:00-8:30am & 3:00-6:00pm

Looking to gain leadership experience while you're in school?

AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs that are designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment.

As an AlphaBEST Group Leader, you'll help shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive. You'll gain valuable experience working with children and collaborating with a team.

We're looking for an early learning professional who:

• Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment
• Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely
• Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed

In this role, you will:

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
