Job summary

AlphaBEST Education is seeking a part-time Group Leader to support before and after-school programs in the Arvada/Aurora area. You’ll lead small groups of students through engaging activities and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment.

Responsibilities include delivering curriculum across languages, STEAM, fitness, and arts, prioritizing child safety, keeping spaces clean, and building positive relationships with students, families, and school staff. Must meet licensing hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds in a classroom setting.
• Minimum of 460 verifiable hours of experience with children (ages 4+).
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Proof of experience as required by CO childcare licensing regulations.

AlphaBEST Education Before and After school Group Leader

Monday - Friday; AM shift: 6:30 am - 8:00/8:30 am and/or PM shift 2:00/2:30 pm - 6:00 pm.

Location: Various schools within Arvada/Aurora area

AlphaBEST Education provides extended-day, summer, and enrichment programs designed to inspire and engage students as they discover and learn beyond the school day.

For those who have experience working with students, the Group Leader role offers the opportunity to shape meaningful before and after-school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive.

In this role, you will:

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
• Must have a minimum of 460 verifiable hours of experience with children (ages 4+)
• Must be 18+ years old
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
• Proof of experience as required by CO childcare licensing regulations (verification of hours)
