Job summary

AlphaBEST Education is seeking a part-time Group Leader/Assistant to support before and after school activities at Swanson Elementary in Arvada, CO. You will guide students through engaging activities, maintain a safe environment, and help keep spaces organized to foster learning.

The role emphasizes teamwork with staff, families, and school partners, with a flexible schedule to fit the school day and CO childcare requirements. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or required upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required or an equivalent credential.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain).
• 460 verifiable hours of experience with children (ages 4+) required.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.

AlphaBEST Education Before and After School Group Leader/Assistant

Location: Swanson Elementary School - 6055 W 68th Ave, Arvada, CO 80003

Schedule: Monday - Friday; AM shift: 6:30 am - 8:00/8:30 am and/or PM shift 2:00/2:30 pm - 6:0 pm.

For those who have experience working with students, the Group Leader role offers the opportunity to shape meaningful before and after-school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive.

In This Role, You Will

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
• Must have a minimum of 460 verifiable hours of experience with children (ages 4+)
• Must be 18+ years old
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
• Proof of experience as required by CO childcare licensing regulations (verification of hours)
