Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is seeking a part-time Before School Group Leader at Earl Boyles Elementary School in Portland. The role supports students with structured, high-energy activities before school, from 6:30 am to 8:00/8:30 am, with possible afternoon sub coverage.

You will help deliver diverse programming across World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is reliable, and adheres to safety procedures while collaborating with staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years old.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Must be able to complete a background check as required by OR childcare licensing regulations.
• Proof of experience as required by OR childcare licensing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts).
• Make child safety the top priority at all times.
• Keep the space clean and organized.
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included.
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff.

Schedule: M-F 6:30 am - 8:00/8:30 am and possible sub for PM 2:30 -6:00 pm

In this role, you will:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• 18+ years old
• 240+ documented hours of experience working with children is preferred
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by OR childcare licensing regulations
• Proof of experience as required by OR childcare licensing regulations
