Job summary

YMCA of the Triangle in Cary, NC is seeking a Site Coordinator to support after-school programming under the Youth Director. You will coordinate, plan, and lead activities, while supervising program staff and maintaining strong relationships with campers, families, and the community.

You’ll create schedules, supervise counselors, communicate with parents, ensure safety and compliance, and help expand programs within a supportive community environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required with 2 years of youth work preferred.
• Experience in program development and staff supervision is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups and communities.
• Certification in Basic Life Support/First Aid and Emergency Oxygen on hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead after-school programming under Youth Director.
• Plan daily schedules and assign staff to activities.
• Communicate with parents via newsletters and updates.
• Develop relationships with community organizations.
• Open and close program daily and ensure safety.
• Assist in staff meetings, training, and program evaluations.
