Job summary

YMCA of the Triangle is seeking a Site Coordinator for after-school programming. You will plan, coordinate, and lead activities while supervising program staff at multiple sites including Aversboro, Timber, Vance, Vandora, Smith, and Willow.

The role requires strong communication, youth-focused leadership, and the ability to manage daily schedules, staff performance, and parent updates. Part-time, non-exempt with daily afternoon hours.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required with 2 years of youth experience preferred.
• Experience in program development, staff supervision, and youth programming is expected.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills are required.
• Ability to engage diverse groups and manage facilities, equipment, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan, and lead after-school programming under Youth Director supervision.
• Supervise program staff and provide onboarding, training, and evaluation support.
• Communicate with parents and caregivers through newsletters and updates.
• Develop collaborative relationships with community organizations.
• Schedule daily activities and assign staff to blocks and huddles.
• Assist in staff meetings and training sessions.
• Collaborate with Youth Director on activities, assemblies, and staff communications.
• Open and close the program daily and attend planning meetings.
• Ensure building and equipment are clean, safe, and compliant with safety standards.
