Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools seeks a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing a high-quality childcare program. The role emphasizes safety, supervision, and building positive relations with parents, students, and school staff.

The position supports developing engaging activities, coordinating field trips, ensuring licensing compliance, and aiding staff through effective communication.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• Must be age 18 or over
• At least three months (455 hours) of verified care supervisory experience or a Level I+ early childhood credential (version 3.0)
• At least 15 clock hours of training per year (June 1–May 31)
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures
• Some leadership and management skill
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces all Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements
• Works directly and actively supervises and engages with students during times they are present in the program
• Exhibits excellent communication with parents, students, school staff, district staff and co-workers
• Maintains safe conditions for all students and staff
• Promotes and markets the program for before and after care and full days
