Job summary

Cherry Creek is seeking a dedicated Before and After School Leader to support the program director in planning and implementing child care activities. You will help promote strong community relations with families and schools and assist in delivering high-quality programming.

The role emphasizes supervision, safety, and collaboration with staff to create engaging daily schedules and events for before/after care and full-day programming.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Must be age 18 or over.
• Experience working with children or in childcare settings preferred.
• Knowledge of childcare practices and licensing requirements.
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces licensing requirements.
• Supervises and engages with students during program times.
• Communicates with parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff.
• Promotes and markets the program to the community.
• Attends professional development trainings as required.
• Assists to implement quality lesson plans.
• Maintains equipment and supplies.
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Creates activities and field trips for full-day programming.
• Attends monthly staff meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
