Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Must be age 18 or over.
• Demonstrate ability to work with children.
• At least three months (455 hours) of verified experience with 4+ children aged 4+.
• Early childhood credential Level I (version 3.0) or higher.
• Annually complete at least 15 clock hours of training.
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare.
• Ability to develop and utilize discipline procedures.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems effectively.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Enforce Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements daily.
• Directly supervise and engage with students during program times.
• Communicate effectively with parents, students, school staff and district staff.
• Maintain safe conditions for all students and staff.
• Promote and market the before/after program and full-day care.
• Attend professional development trainings as required by licensing and district.
• Assist in implementing quality lesson plans for each operational day.
• Assist with maintenance, storage, and repair of equipment and supplies.
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and program quality.
• Create and implement activities and field trips for full-day programming.
• Attend monthly program staff meetings as required by director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
