Job summary

Cherry Creek Careers is seeking a Before and After School Leader to assist the program director in planning and implementing a high-quality child care program in Colorado. You will help build strong community relations with school families and staff while supporting daily programming.

The role emphasizes safety, supervision, communication, and adherence to licensing requirements, with opportunities to contribute to enrichment activities and staff development. A non-exempt, school-based position.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Leader must be 18+ years old.
• At least one of: 3 months (455 hours) of verified care/supervision experience or Early Childhood Credential Level I+.
• Annual 15 clock hours of training (June 1–May 31).
• Knowledge of childcare practices.
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions and solve problems effectively.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Follows and enforces all Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements. Daily 15%
• Directly supervises and engages with students during program times. Daily 15%
• Maintains clear and positive communication with parents, students, and staff. Daily 10%
• Maintains safe conditions for students and staff. Daily 10%
• Markets and promotes the before/after care program. Daily 5%
• Attends and participates in required professional development trainings. Daily 5%
• Assists with implementing quality lesson plans for days the program operates. Monthly 15%
• Assists with equipment maintenance and proper storage/repair. Monthly 5%
• Contributes ideas for enrichment activities and program quality. Monthly 5%
• Creates activities and field trips for full-day programming. Monthly 5%
• Attends monthly staff meetings as required by director. Monthly 5%
• Performs other duties as assigned. Daily 5%
