Job summary

Seattle YMCA offers a part-time onsite role guiding elementary students through sports, arts, STEM and hands-on activities in BASE and Play Everyday programs. You will support the supervisor, foster teamwork and social-emotional learning, and help ensure a safe, engaging environment before and after school.

Hours are part-time with a 6:45am start and after-school end times, across multiple school locations; full-day options exist on non-school days.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with children in camps, child care, tutoring or nannying.
• Ability to model Y values: caring, respect, responsibility and honesty.
• Pre-employment TB tests and MMR vaccination required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement culturally relevant activities for elementary-age participants.
• Supervise and ensure health and safety; provide positive experiences.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about day-to-day activities and progress.
• Support onsite operations and assist with school-based Play Everyday Program.
