Job summary

Right At School is hiring Educators in Illinois to lead before- and after-school activities, support homework, and provide a safe, engaging environment for kids. You’ll gain hands-on experience in education and child development while building relationships with students and families.

You'll work a consistent part-time schedule at school sites, with opportunities to impact children’s growth and enjoyment through well-structured activities and supportive supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children (preferred).
• Comfortable leading groups of children in activities and games.
• Excellent customer service and communication with children and adults.
• Reliable and punctual; able to commit to a consistent part-time schedule.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand, walk, bend, and kneel during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in students, take attendance, and maintain records.
• Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons.
• Support with homework time and academic tasks as needed.
• Supervise during free play, snack time, and transitions.
• Address minor conflicts using positive guidance techniques.
• Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up/drop-off.
• Log incidents and safety concerns promptly.
