Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a Childcare Provider 2 to assist the Childcare Specialist in planning the before and after school program and supervise children. The role requires a high school diploma and childcare experience, with CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days and a valid DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Annual training (18 hours) is required, and candidates must maintain positive behavior and strong rapport with students and staff.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma and six months of qualifying child care experience.
• At least 12 credit hours from an accredited college or university including at least 6 credits in early childhood education and 6 months qualifying childcare experience.
• N.A.C., C.D.A., C.C.P., or C.P.C. credential; or
• Associate or bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of early childhood, child development or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.
• Supervise the children at all times.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Treat every child with respect.
• Maintain acceptable behavior standards and ensure policy compliance.
• Keep the Childcare Specialist informed of student activities.
• Share and participate in clean up activities.
• Complete minimum 18 hours of approved training per year.
