Job summary

Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a Childcare Provider 2 to support the Childcare Specialist in planning before and after school activities and supervising students in the program. The role requires meeting Arizona staff qualifications for caregiver, maintaining safety, and delivering high-quality care.

The position is non-exempt with afternoon hours and opportunities to contribute to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet staff qualifications to be a teacher-caregiver under Arizona rules.
• 18+ years old and provide written documentation of childcare experience or related education.
• Valid DPS FPCC background check or ability to obtain one within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees and community.
• Prepare site and activities prior to children’s arrival.
• Supervise the children at all times.
• Administer first aid when necessary.
• Treat every child with respect.
• Maintain behavior standards per district and program policy.
• Keep the Childcare Specialist informed of student activities.
• Share and participate in cleanup activities.
• Complete a minimum of 18 verifiable training hours annually per Health Services regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
