Job summary

AlphaBEST Education, Inc. is hiring a Captain to serve as the Floater/After School Site Director in Independence, Kentucky. The role involves leading a team of Guides, coordinating site operations, and delivering engaging programs for Explorers in fitness, arts, technology, and more.

Ideal candidates hold a HS diploma or higher in education or child development, with 1 year classroom/group experience and be at least 21. Schedule is Monday–Friday with part-time benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma, Bachelors or Associates in Education or a child development field.
• 1 year experience in a classroom setting (in a licensed facility) or group setting with at least 15 students.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by state childcare licensing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to students in fitness, the arts, technology, and more.
• Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site.
• Train AlphaBEST Guides on how to lead adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that build on students' interests and talents.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, parent, and school relationships are fostered at your program site.

Monday-Friday No Weekends
