Job summary

DEER CREEK SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an Antler Care Before & After Care Teacher to provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment before and after the school day. You will supervise, guide activities, and support children’s social and emotional development in a team setting.

Responsibilities include following daily schedules, maintaining routines, communicating with families and staff, and ensuring compliance with childcare licensing. CPR/First Aid certification is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience with children is preferred, but not required.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification or already hold current certification.
• Pass required background checks and meet childcare licensing requirements.
• Demonstrate reliability, patience, flexibility, and ability to work well with children and a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for all children.
• Actively supervise children at all times and follow safety and licensing requirements.
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and learning opportunities.
• Build positive relationships with children and support social and emotional needs.
• Maintain structured environment with clear expectations and routines.
• Assist with arrival, dismissal, transitions, meals and daily routines as needed.
• Communicate respectfully with children, families, coworkers, and administration.
• Collaborate with teachers and leadership to ensure high-quality care.
