Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role serves students ages 5–12 and offers supportive, structured activities in a safe environment.

Work hours follow the school calendar, with opportunities for morning, afternoon, or both programs. The position offers employer-paid childcare and additional benefits to support you while you work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13.
• Must pass a full background check including fingerprinting and references.
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties including a clear TB test.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines and host school policies and program policies.
• Some roles may include management tasks such as attendance, registration, and staffing.
