Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus for the 2026-2027 school year. Location is Columbia, PA with morning 7:00–8:30 and afternoon 2:45–6:00 shifts, following the school calendar.

Part-time, non-exempt role focused on safe, engaging activities and positive role-modeling for children ages 5–12. Employer-paid childcare is provided for days you work, plus benefits like telehealth and 401(k)

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years experience with children under 13.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
• Medically fit to perform job duties including a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
