Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus in Columbia, PA for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role follows the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon shifts (7:00–8:30 and 2:45–6:00). Part-time, non-exempt employment includes employer-paid childcare and multiple benefits.

You will assist with activities, supervise students, and collaborate with teachers in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.
