Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs seeks a School-Age Childcare Lead for the Columbia Middle School Taylor Campus before- and after-school program for 2026–2027. The role follows the school calendar with morning 7:00–8:30 and afternoon 2:45–6:00 shifts, part-time, non-exempt. Opportunities may exist for either or both programs. Employer-paid childcare is a key benefit.

The candidate will lead activities, ensure safety, and collaborate with families and staff to support student growth in a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess one of the listed degrees or credentials.
• Relevant experience includes working with school-age children in after-school programs, camps, or classrooms.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks or equivalent clearances.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art) and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school rules.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration, and staffing.

Bachelor’s degree in ECE/child dev/ed or human services

Bachelor’s degree + 30 credits + 1 year experience

Associate’s degree + 2 years experience
