Job summary

Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC (Acme Street) in Green Bay, WI, a plant within American Foods Group, is hiring a Quality Assurance Sorter. The role conducts carcass and part sorting to identify condemnable conditions before online inspectors, ensuring only wholesome beef proceeds for further processing.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of basic microbiology, chemistry, sanitation, and HACCP; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated knowledge of food safety and quality.
• Must complete training: SQF, GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs, HACCP, Straight knife, Steel, Hook, Food defense.

Responsibilities

• Make decisions on wholesomeness of carcasses and viscera and dispose of unwholesome material.
• Perform preparation (cuts) and presentation of carcasses and parts.
• Mark carcasses/parts with abnormalities or lesions.
• Follow food safety conditions and procedures (heads, tongues, viscera, carcass).
• Notify supervisors if foreign animal disease is suspected.
• Maintain required documentation of sorting activities.
• Attend training at hire and annual refresher training; may train others.
• Note: duties may include related tasks as needed.
