Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member.
• Provides calming and reorienting conversation with patient in cases of agitation or confusion.
• Identifies and removes hazards from the patient and patient's environment, and reports as appropriate.
• May assist patient with activities of daily living, as delegated by supervising RN, including ambulating, toileting, assisting with bed making, positioning.
• Provides continuous safety observation via continuous video monitoring, addressing emotional needs and using de‑escalation techniques where appropriate.
• Remotely monitors multiple patients via continuous video monitoring and summons staff via device/STAT Alert when appropriate.
