Job summary

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent required.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.
• One year of related experience preferred in medical/financial services or customer service.
• Medical terminology and insurance knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, register, and admit patients at bedside.
• Verify insurance information and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Collect data for billing, prepare estimates, and process payments when applicable.
• Provide or obtain signatures on regulatory paperwork and protect patient confidentiality.
• Maintain AHN policies and HIPAA compliance while delivering patient care.
