Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise, ID is seeking a part-time Bed Control Nurse to coordinate patient admissions and transfers, ensuring optimal bed placement according to clinical standards. The role includes contacting physicians, coordinating inter-facility transfers, and working with transport teams in a rotating 12-hour shift.

You will be part of a close-knit team of about 20, with four days off each week.

Qualifikationen

• Current RN license required.
• Multistate licenses must establish Idaho residency within 60 days of hire.
• Oregon RN license required/allowed within 90 days of hire.
• Acute care/critical care or MS experience required.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Two years RN experience required; BLS required; ACLS/PALS may substitute for BLS.

Aufgaben

• Know bed availability and coordinate placement of inpatients.
• Navigate robotic consult protocol.
• Coordinate outside physician consults and inter-facility transfers.
• Contact physicians promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate staffing with managers and charge nurses.
• Participate in bed briefings and surge planning.
• Coordinate transport and bed movement between units.
• Use Central Logic to locate physicians and paging system.
• Communicate with ED for timely admissions.
• Prepare periodic reports on patient placement issues.
• Serve on committees within and beyond Patient Care Services.
