Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a Full-Time Bed Control Nurse for night shift in Boise, ID. The role coordinates admission bed placement, patient transfers, and related communications with physicians, transport teams, and care units to ensure timely admissions and optimal bed utilization.

Qualified candidates hold a current RN license, have 2+ years of RN experience in acute/critical care, and may need Oregon licensure within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current RN license is required.
• Multistate licenses must establish residency within 60 days from hire.
• Oregon RN license proof or application within 90 days of hire.
• Acute care, critical care, or MS experience required.
• BSN strongly preferred.
• Minimum of two years RN experience.
• BLS certification required (ACLS/PALS may be accepted).

Responsibilities

• Know bed availability on all care units and coordinate placement of inpatients.
• Navigate robotic consult protocol.
• Determine appropriate physician for outside consults and coordinate transport.
• Contact physicians promptly and professionally.
• Communicate with managers and nurses to ensure adequate staffing for admissions.
• Participate in bed briefing, surge meetings, and capacity management.
