Job summary

Debut is an unconventional innovation lab accelerating the next generation of big business through climate-positive biotech. The Sales Coordinator, Formulation Sales will identify, engage, and qualify new prospective beauty brand partners for Debut’s formulation business, and schedule meetings for the Formulation Sales team, within a hybrid US-based role.

San Diego-based preferred but remote may be considered; you will work with the Commercial Formulation Sales organization to build a qualified

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in business development coordination, lead generation, or sales/account support within the beauty industry.
• Prior experience in beauty, personal care, cosmetics, or ingredients/CPG industries is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated outbound prospecting or cold outreach with measurable results.
• Highly self-driven, results-oriented, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Limited travel up to 15% for industry events.

Responsibilities

• Drive high-volume outbound prospecting to identify new beauty brands and organizations as potential formulation partners for Debut.
• Research and build target lists of prospective accounts, focusing on brands and companies seeking custom or white-label formulation with biotech-driven ingredients.
• Identify and map key decision makers within target organizations to find the right entry points.
• Craft and send personalized outreach that communicates Debut's value and interest.
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads before passing them to the sales team.
• Secure and schedule qualified introductory meetings between prospects and the Formulation Sales team.
• Maintain disciplined follow-up cadences to keep prospects engaged toward meetings.
• Track prospecting activity and meeting outcomes in the CRM Monday.com.
• Develop a working understanding of Debut’s formulation and biotech platform and value proposition.
• Partner with the Formulation Sales team to hand off qualified leads smoothly.
