Job summary

Debut is seeking a Manager, Formulation Sales to own the end-to-end sales cycle for beauty brand partnerships. You will identify, engage, and secure new brand partnerships for Debut's formulation business, coordinating with the Formulation Sales Coordinator and Director, Formulation Sales to move opportunities toward close.

Based in San Diego preferred, but remote arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in business development, lead generation, or formulation sales within the beauty industry.
• Ability to independently advance and close sales opportunities and generate new pipeline.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent sales cycles from prospecting through close.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer meetings and industry events.

Responsibilities

• Drive outbound prospecting to identify and secure new beauty brand partnerships.
• Own the commercial process from first contact through qualification, proposal, and negotiation, closing opportunities independently whenever possible.
• Partner with senior leadership to close opportunities requiring additional authority or executive relationships.
• Build relationships with key decision makers across R&D, product development, marketing, and leadership within beauty organizations.
• Manage a pipeline of active opportunities with consistent progression toward conversion.
• Lead pricing discussions and contract negotiations with final approval by Director or senior leadership.
• Maintain CRM hygiene in Monday.com and provide regular pipeline updates to leadership.
