The role emphasizes hands-on testing, code quality, and continuous process improvement in a dynamic environment. This is a co-op/intern position starting January 2027 for a student in CS/SE/Electronics.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics or related field.
• Familiarity with automated test frameworks such as Pytest is essential.
• SQL-based or NoSQL databases; programming in at least one language (C, Rust, Python, JS).
• Version control with Git; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience through coursework, projects, or internships; open-source contributions a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test automation: develop, maintain, and run automated tests with Pytest for medical device software.
• Test planning: design comprehensive plans with developers and QA partners.
• Bug identification: document and track defects, coordinate with the team to resolve.
• Code quality: participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to standards.
• Test execution: perform manual and automated testing for functionality, performance, and security.
• Test reporting: create reports and derive insights for improvements.
• Continuous improvement: evolve test processes and stay current with tools.
