Qualifications

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Test Automation: Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Pytest and others for end‑to‑end testing of medical device software
• Test Planning: Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand application requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
• Bug Identification: Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
• Engage in Code Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews and walkthroughs to ensure code quality and to align with industry standards.
• Test Execution: Perform manual and automated testing to ensure application functionality, performance, and security.
• Test Reporting: Generate and review test reports and provide insights and recommendations for improvements based on test results.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of test processes and methodologies and stay up to date with the latest testing tools and techniques.

Qualifications

• Education: Junior, Senior, or Grad student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or related field. Coursework in electrical engineering, signals and systems, and embedded devices is a plus
• Experience and Skills: Required - Technical Skills: Familiarity with automated test frameworks such as Pytest is essential. Database Knowledge: Understanding database concepts and experience with SQL‑based databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases. Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, Rust, Python, or JavaScript. Version Control: Experience with version control systems, particularly Git. Problem‑Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to learning and adapting. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate optimally in a team environment. Project Experience: Proven experience through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships. Contributions to open‑source projects or a personal portfolio are a plus.
• Preferred: Experience with Software Testing: Previous experience or coursework in Software development or testing projects. Familiarity with Agile Methodologies: Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies is advantageous. Interest in Emerging Technologies: Passion for learning about and working with new technologies and tools. Experience with Embedded Software involving Low Level Languages such as C, C++, Rust, Go is a plus

Salary & Benefits

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is : $23.50/hr to $52.50/hr
• Additional Description for Pay Transparency: The expected pay range for this position is between $23.50 per hour and $52.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience.
• Co‑Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan.
• Co‑Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year.
• Co‑Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
