Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Pytest and others for end-to-end testing of medical device software.
• Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand application requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and issues, and work closely with the development team to resolve them.
• Participate in code reviews and walkthroughs to ensure code quality and to align with industry standards.
• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure application functionality, performance, and security.
• Generate and review test reports and provide insights and recommendations for improvements based on test results.
• Contribute to the improvement of test processes and methodologies and stay up to date with the latest testing tools and techniques.

Education

• Junior, Senior, or Grad student pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• Coursework in electrical engineering, signals and systems, and embedded devices is a plus.

Experience and Skills

• Familiarity with automated test frameworks such as Pytest is essential.
• Understanding database concepts and experience with SQL-based databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, Rust, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to learning and adapting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate optimally in a team environment.
• Proven experience through coursework, personal projects, or previous internships.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a personal portfolio are a plus.

Preferred

• Previous experience or coursework in Software development or testing projects.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies is advantageous.
• Passion for learning about and working with new technologies and tools.
• Experience with Embedded Software involving Low Level Languages such as C, C++, Rust, Go is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The anticipated base pay range for this position is : $23.50/hr to $52.50/hr

Additional Description for Pay Transparency: The expected pay range for this position is between $23.50 per hour and $52.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience.

Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan.

Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year.

Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension).
