Job summary

Engineered Floors LLC seeks a Beaming Tie In Helper in Bridgeport, AL to produce quality beams for the Weaving Department. You will communicate with a Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operations Manager to minimize defects.

Maintain a clean, safe workspace and use tools such as Air Ratchet and tape measure. You may operate a forklift and perform Creeler duties as required by production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to read and write and perform basic math.
• Willing to operate a lift truck and complete training.
• Must be able to work in a hot, busy manufacturing environment.

• Inform supervisors and management of problems or defects to minimize quality issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper use of basic job tools.
• Read a tape measure for beam spread and provide correct end counts.
• Perform duties of a Creeler as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Keep both the Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of any problems or quality issues, helping to minimize ongoing defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain and use basic tools of the job properly: Air Ratchet, safety glasses, ear plugs, scissors, etc.
• Must be able to read a tape measure for proper Beam Spread and provide correct end counts for beams produced
• Must be able to perform the job of a Creeler

Performance Expectations (if Applicable)

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Capable of standing on concrete floor throughout shift
• Walking, stooping and reaching for long periods of time
• Must be able to withstand working in a busy and hot environment
• Must be hands-on and have a mechanical aptitude

Experience/Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete necessary lift truck training.
• Must be able and willing to operate a Hub Tex and complete necessary Hub Tex training required

Other Requirements

• Overtime is required on occasion.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• All accidents must be reported immediately.
• Do daily machine safety checklist
• Responsible for quality and safety of his/her own output.
