Job summary

Engineered Floors is seeking a Beaming Tie In Helper to support the weaving and beaming processes in our Alabama facility. The role requires reading a tape measure for beam spread, providing correct end counts, and performing the creeler duties as needed.

You must remain hands-on, meet safety standards, and use basic tools while maintaining a productive work area. The position may involve overtime and requires reading and writing skills, basic arithmetic, and the ability to operate a lift truck

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck and Hub Tex training required.
• Must be able to read a tape measure for Beam Spread and counts.

Responsibilities

• Keep Beaming/Weaving Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of problems or quality issues to minimize defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain and use basic tools of the job properly (Air Ratchet, safety glasses, ear plugs, scissors, etc).
• Must be able to read a tape measure for proper Beam Spread and provide correct end counts for beams produced.
• Must be able to perform the job of a Creeler.

Beaming Tie In Helper create quality beams to send to the Weaving Department.

• Keep both the Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of any problems or quality issues, helping to minimize ongoing defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain and use basic tools of the job properly: Air Ratchet, safety glasses, ear plugs, scissors, etc.
• Must be able to read a tape measure for proper Beam Spread and provide correct end counts for beams produced
• Must be able to perform the job of a Creeler

Performance Expectations (if applicable) :

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Capable of standing on concrete floor throughout shift
• Walking, stooping and reaching for long periods of time
• Must be able to withstand working in a busy and hot environment
• Must be hands-on and have a mechanical aptitude

Experience/Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete necessary lift truck training.
• Must be able and willing to operate a Hub Tex and complete necessary Hub Tex training required

Other Requirements:

• Overtime is required on occasion.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• All accidents must be reported immediately.
• Responsible for quality and safety of his/her own output.
