Job summary

Engineered Floors currently lists openings such as Beaming Tie In Helper. Candidates will assist in producing quality beams and must keep supervisors informed of issues. The role requires basic reading/writing, the ability to read a tape measure, and operating a lift truck.

A safe, clean work area and willingness to work overtime are part of the job. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills; Hub Tex training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write and do basic arithmetic operations (add/sub/mul/div).
• Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete necessary training.
• Must be able to read a tape measure for beam spread and end counts.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of problems or quality issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Read a tape measure for Beam Spread and end counts.
• Perform Beaming Tie In Helper duties (Creeler).
• Overtime is required on occasion.

Beaming Tie In Helper create quality beams to send to the Weaving Department.

• Keep both the Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of any problems or quality issues, helping to minimize ongoing defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain and use basic tools of the job properly: Air Ratchet, safety glasses, ear plugs, scissors, etc.
• Must be able to read a tape measure for proper Beam Spread and provide correct end counts for beams produced
• Must be able to perform the job of a Creeler

Performance Expectations (if applicable) :

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Capable of standing on concrete floor throughout shift
• Walking, stooping and reaching for long periods of time
• Must be able to withstand working in a busy and hot environment
• Must be hands-on and have a mechanical aptitude

Experience/Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete necessary lift truck training.
• Must be able and willing to operate a Hub Tex and complete necessary Hub Tex training required

Other Requirements:

• Overtime is required on occasion.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• All accidents must be reported immediately.
• Responsible for quality and safety of his/her own output.
