Job summary

Engineered Floors LLC is seeking a Beaming Operator to create quality beams for the Weaving Department. The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, basic math and literacy, and the ability to operate a lift truck. You will report quality issues to supervisors and keep work areas safe and clean.

Focus on safety and accuracy, with overtime as needed and responsibilities to document data and participate in standard procedures. High school diploma and data entry skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete necessary lift truck training.

Responsibilities

• Keep both the Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of any problems or quality issues, helping to minimize ongoing defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain and use basic tools of the job properly: safety glasses, ear plugs, scissors, etc.
• Overtime is required on occasion.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• All accidents must be reported immediately.
• Responsible for quality and safety of his/her own output.

Job description

Beaming Operators create quality beams to send to the Weaving Department.

• Keep both the Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of any problems or quality issues, helping to minimize ongoing defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain and use basic tools of the job properly: safety glasses, ear plugs, scissors, etc.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Capable of standing on concrete floor throughout shift
• Walking, stooping and reaching over loom for long periods of time
• Must be able to withstand working in a busy and hot environment
• Must be hands-on and have a mechanical aptitude

Experience/Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
