Job summary

Engineered Floors, LLC in Dalton, GA is seeking a Beaming Tie-In Helper to support the Weaving Department. This role focuses on creating quality beams, maintaining safety, and working with basic tools in a busy, hot manufacturing environment.

The job requires reading and writing, basic math, and the ability to operate a lift truck and Hub Tex equipment after training. Overtime may be required; the team emphasizes reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete necessary lift truck training.
• Must be able and willing to operate a Hub Tex and complete necessary Hub Tex training required

Responsibilities

• Beaming Tie In Helper create quality beams to send to the Weaving Department.
• Keep both the Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of any problems or quality issues, helping to minimize ongoing defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain and use basic tools of the job properly: Air Ratchet, safety glasses, ear plugs, scissors, etc.
• Must be able to read a tape measure for proper Beam Spread and provide correct end counts for beams produced
• Must be able to perform the job of a Creeler

Performance Expectations (if applicable) :

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Capable of standing on concrete floor throughout shift
• Walking, stooping and reaching for long periods of time
• Must be able to withstand working in a busy and hot environment
• Must be hands-on and have a mechanical aptitude

Experience/Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
