Job summary

Engineered Floors is seeking a Beaming Operator in Kentucky to support the weaving and beaming process. You will monitor equipment, report quality issues, and maintain a clean, safe work area throughout the shift.

The role requires basic reading/writing, math aptitude, and the ability to operate a lift truck. Overtime may be required; safety is a priority on the line.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
• Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.
• Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete necessary lift truck training.

Responsibilities

• Keep both the Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of any problems or quality issues, helping to minimize ongoing defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain and use basic tools of the job properly: safety glasses, ear plugs, scissors, etc.

Beaming Operators create quality beams to send to the Weaving Department.

• Keep both the Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of any problems or quality issues, helping to minimize ongoing defects.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain and use basic tools of the job properly: safety glasses, ear plugs, scissors, etc.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Capable of standing on concrete floor throughout shift
• Walking, stooping and reaching over loom for long periods of time
• Must be able to withstand working in a busy and hot environment
• Must be hands-on and have a mechanical aptitude

Experience/Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
