Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Beach Attendant in Bal Harbour Village, FL, to oversee the beach area, make safety announcements, and maintain poolside equipment inventories for guest use.

Responsibilities include setup/breakdown for beachside activities, reporting incidents, and ensuring top-notch customer service. Candidates should have hospitality experience, good communication, and a team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred. Completion of College level courses in Hospitality is strongly desirable.
• Two or more years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekends.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees beach area (adult/children) and makes safety announcements.
• Assists with setting up and breakdown for beachside activities as needed.
• Must be able to submit and report incidents to the appropriate manager.
• Must be customer-service oriented.
• Pick up debris from the beach and possess basic cleaning skills.
• Checks sports equipment to make sure it is in order for guests to use.
• Report broken sports equipment to the manager so that replacement equipment can be ordered.
• Must have the ability to work as a team member.
• Must be accessible to and approachable to residents/guests.
• Must be familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carry out the policies and procedures appropriate for his/her position.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
