Job summary

The Ranch at Laguna Beach is seeking a qualified Cook to manage all aspects of the food production for the beach café, ensuring high quality, timely service, and strict sanitation standards. Responsibilities include setting up stations, preparing ingredients, cooking menu items to The Ranch standards, stocking inventory, and maintaining clean work areas while complying with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• Certified Cook level or higher. Prior experience preferred.
• Experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel/resort restaurant desired.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items according to Young’s Beach Shack standards and guest requests
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
