Job summary

Scott Cars is seeking a motivated BDC Manager to lead our Business Development Center. You will oversee inbound/outbound communications, drive appointment setting, and help convert leads into showroom traffic.

Ideal candidates have 2–3+ years in automotive BDC or internet sales with leadership experience, strong CRM skills, and a track record of coaching teams to meet performance metrics. You will collaborate with Sales to ensure smooth transitions from BDC to showroom and contribute to growth

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years automotive BDC, internet sales, or related experience.
• Prior leadership or management experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with CRM systems and lead management tools.
• Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Results-driven with a focus on performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the BDC team, including internet leads and calls.
• Ensure all leads are responded to promptly and professionally.
• Monitor KPIs such as response time, appointment set rate, show rate, and conversions.
• Train, coach, and develop BDC staff to improve performance.
• Ensure adherence to scripts and CRM usage.
• Handle escalated customer concerns and provide resolutions.
• Work with Sales to ensure smooth BDC to showroom transitions.
• Implement strategies to increase lead conversion and show rates.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and team meetings.
• Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members.
