Rain is seeking a Business Development Lead to expand our presence in the AI-enabled commerce space. You will identify high-value opportunities, form strategic partnerships, and shape Rain’s commercial thesis at the intersection of stablecoins and AI.

Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate market insights into opportunities and drive growth for Rain’s infrastructure platform.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or related roles.
• Strong understanding of AI ecosystem, agentic commerce, and infrastructure for autonomous transactions.
• Proven ability to source, develop, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building new opportunities end-to-end.
• Strong commercial judgment to identify high-potential opportunities in evolving markets.
• Ability to form independent viewpoints on emerging markets and act on them.
• Ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders with clear value propositions.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• High ownership, curiosity, and bias toward action.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build Rain’s agentic commerce pipeline by identifying and developing high-value opportunities across AI-native firms and payment ecosystems.
• Develop our agentic commerce strategy: target segments, use cases, accounts, and partnerships.
• Drive commercial execution: craft value propositions, manage a strong pipeline, and partner cross-functionally to close deals.
• Stay ahead of market trends in AI and payments and translate insights into opportunities and priorities.
• Own strategic partnerships from outreach to negotiation, deal execution, and handoff.
• Build an ecosystem by connecting with founders, developers, and leaders shaping AI-powered commerce.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to feed market feedback into Rain’s roadmap.
• Shape Rain’s market position with a clear stance on stablecoins in agentic commerce.
