Job summary

North Star Behavioral Health, Ltd. seeks a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to design, implement, and supervise individualized ABA-based intervention programs for patients with acute behaviors.

The BCBA conducts functional behavior assessments and develops behavior plans, guiding treatment staff to ensure effective intervention delivery. The role requires data-based decision making, staff coaching, and collaboration with the clinical team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Designs and oversees ABA treatment plans based on functional assessments.
• Performs functional behavior assessments to identify behavior functions.
• Collaborates with families and the treatment team to ensure continuity of care.
• Develops behavior support plans using evidence-based methodologies.
• Collects data and trains staff to collect data for plan assessment.
• Schedules and provides direct instruction and supervision to patients and families.
• Attends meetings for assigned patients, including IEP/ISP and social services.
• Evaluates plan effectiveness and updates treatment plans every 7 days or when needed.
• Adheres to professional and legal standards with sound professional judgment.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by the position.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and supervises ABA programs.
• Ensures effective implementation by direct care staff.
• Provides coaching and education to staff on interventions.
• Oversees program when a Registered Behavior Technician is employed.
