Job summary

Gersh Autism Academy in Brooklyn, NY seeks a dynamic BCBA to coordinate, schedule, and continuously evaluate functional assessments, behavioral evaluations, behavior plans, and individualized education plans for clients on their caseload.

You will lead staff training, supervise BCBAs and RBTs, collaborate with families and school professionals, and contribute to ongoing program development within a center-based setting across Long Island locations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field.
• BCBA in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BCBA).
• Licensed Behavior Analyst, NY state.
• Minimum 2 years' ABA experience providing services to children with Autism.
• Experience conducting skill and behavioral assessments (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, FBA).
• Expertise in developing skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs.
• Experience supervising BCBAs and/or RBTs preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/BLS, HIV Awareness Training, and 8-hour BCBA Supervision Training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule, communicate, and continually evaluate functional assessments, behavioral evaluations, behavior plans, and IEPs.
• Provide families with regular parent education (1:1 and monthly group).
• Provide interactive staff training for teachers, paraprofessionals, and community members.
• Supervise BCBAs, BCBA candidates, RBTs, and other staff.
