Responsibilities

• Work directly with the special education and general education behavior specialists
• Assist staff in defining and measuring behavior; understanding reinforcement; teaching new behavior; implementing strategies for decreasing inappropriate behavior
• Facilitate team meetings for Functional Behavioral Assessment
• Promote specialized positive behavior interventions with explicit instruction and practice
• Provide research-based professional development
• Collaborate with building administrators to implement positive behavior supports
• Model instructional practices to support teachers
• Serve as a consultant to administrators, teachers, and parents
• Conduct observations, collect data, and report on program effectiveness
• Other duties as assigned.
